                                ORDINANCE NO. 9620
                  
                  
                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHATTANOOGA CITY CODE,
                   PART II, SECTION 3-61 RELATIVE TO THE
                   DEFINITION OF ATTACHED SIGNS AND SIGNS FOR
                   RECYCLING COLLECTION CENTERS OPERATED BY
                   NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS.
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
                  
       	    	 SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
       CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, that Chattanooga City Code, Part
       II, Section 3-61 be and the same is hereby amended by adding to
       the definition of Attached Sign an additional sentence as 
follows:
                As used in this section, "mechanical equipment"
                shall include any fence, enclosure, container or
                other structure around an area designated solely
                as a collection center for recycling of waste
                materials operated by nonprofit organizations. 
               
       	    	 SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this Ordinance
       shall be effective immediately upon its passage, the public 
health,
       safety and welfare requiring same.
